I have known Edin for over 30 years. Along with myself and our other colleagues, he came of age during the dawn and maturation of video as an artistic and social medium in the 1970s. Edin was a vital force in a generation of video artists who first defined the parameters of this new medium. This was a group that didn’t so much break the rules as invent them. Over the intervening years I have witnessed his work grow and mature, incessantly innovating and branching out into new forms. This has been inspiring to see, and equally inspiring is that it shows no signs of stopping.
